Mel and Jack are seen camping creek-side and having a light-hearted conversation about parenthood. Mel reveals that she has a high-risk pregnancy, and is prioritizing her health and the health of her baby above her career, much to Doc's dismay. Romance is in the air for Preacher. There is (literal) mud-slinging, a wildfire, a rock climbing accident, a trial, and a Labor Day carnival!

The teaser leaves us with plenty of questions: Why is Brady's head bleeding? Is Paige back? And where is Charmaine? We'll have to wait for the answers to all of these questions and more.

Netflix announced that season 5 will be split into two parts: The first 10 episodes will air on September 7, with two special holiday-themed episodes streaming on November 30. Luckily for Virgin River fans, Netflix has already confirmed the series for a sixth season. Filming has not yet begun due to the ongoing writers' and actors' strikes, but there will be more from Mel and Jack in the future.
