On Wednesday evening, Red Table Talk—the Emmy Award–winning talk show hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris—was canceled by Meta.

This announcement comes on the heels of the departure of Mina Lefevre, the former head of development and programming at Meta. Lefevre exited the company as a part of the most recent round of layoffs this month, and with her go the last of the Facebook Watch original programs.

Red Table Talk features three generations of the famous family and is known for its candid, open conversations with a dash of drama (we all remember the iconic “entanglement” moment, don’t we?). This May will mark five years since the beginning of the talk show, and its most recent, but perhaps not final, episode aired December 19, 2022. Deadline, which first reported the news, also relays that the producer, Westbrook Studios, is currently looking for a new distributor.

In a statement released on Instagram, Pinkett Smith expressed her gratitude and hopes of continuing the show. “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband,” she writes. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come. We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”
